Job Description

The Physician will utilize expertise to mitigate and treat injuries and illnesses to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment and recovery, request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists as necessary. The Physician will coordinate medical referrals, coordinate admission, monitor and arrange final disposition.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to established company policies and procedures.

• Perform routine examinations of patients.

• Understand patients' health conditions based on symptoms and tests.

• Suggest treatments based on findings.

• Give appropriate health advice.

• Set diagnosis based on medical expertise and knowledge.

• Access patient's medical history.

• Examine, analyze and interpret lab tests results.

• Prescribe different medical treatments, medications and drugs.

• Collaborate with other physicians and team members.

• Keep records of patients’ progress and history.

• Refer patients to specialists if necessary.

• Develop safe and trusting relationships with patients.

Working Conditions

• Works indoors in office and patient's homes and travels to/from patient's homes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of medicine.
• Registration with the Medical Council of Jamaica.
• Current practicing certificate.
• Computer literate.
• Acceptance of the philosophy and goals of this company.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement.
